When Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner rolled up to the 2019 Emmys to present the award for Outstanding Reality TV, the entire audience...wait for it...laughed at them. The moment in question went down when Kim said, "Our family knows firsthand how truly compelling television comes from real people just being themselves."

Kendall then mused, "Telling their stories unfiltered and unscripted," while the audience erupted in laughter and they both looked seriously pissed.

And nope, the moment didn't escape people on Twitter.

Here's the thing: while Keeping Up with the Kardashians is an absolute legend in the reality television genre, it's not exactly "unfiltered and unscripted." The Kardashians have been accused time and time again of faking entire plot lines for ratings—most recently the Jordyn Woods/Tristan Thompson/Khloe Kardashian cheating scandal, which plenty of people think was a giant PR stunt courtesy of Kris Jenner. (Note: both the Kardashians and Jordyn deny this—and considering Jordyn and her former best friend Kylie Jenner no longer hang out, it seems pretty real).

As far as "unscripted" goes, the Kardashians don't script their lines, but either way, it's gotta be harsh to get laughed at on live TV.
