It’s No. 1 Georgia (12-0) versus No. 3 Alabama (11-1) for the SEC title this Saturday in Atlanta.

UGA head coach Kirby Smart will, once again, get a shot to knock off Nick Saban and his former team.

While Alabama is still the defending national champions, Georgia enters this one as the most dominant team in college football this season and has much more than an SEC Championship win in mind.

Here’s how to watch, listen or stream Georgia versus Alabama:

The University of Georgia has lost six consecutive football games to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Georgia last defeated Alabama in 2007. In the meeting in Tuscaloosa a year ago, the Tide walked away with a 41-24 win.

The Crimson Tide leads the all-time series 41-25-4 over the Bulldogs.

The 2018 SEC Championship game and the 2017 national championship game (played in 2018) were a pair of tough losses for Georgia. The Dawgs built big leads in both games, but allowed Alabama to come back in both matchups.

We’re not used to seeing Alabama struggling to block opposing fronts, but that’s one area where the Crimson Tide have looked mediocre at times this season, especially last week in the Iron Bowl.

Alabama gave up seven sacks to Auburn in a 24-22 four-overtime win at Jordan-Hare and have given up 35 all year, which ranks 108th in the country,

Georgia has been by far the most dominant team in the nation this season. UGA has scored 488 points and allowed only 83 all year.

That dominance includes the SEC.

Georgia has allowed 66 points to SEC teams this season. Alabama has allowed 173.

The Bulldogs have scored 321 against SEC teams in 2021. Alabama has scored 298 points versus SEC teams.

This isn’t a similar Georgia team to those in years past. These Bulldogs have shown no weaknesses this season, and I don’t see a reason for UGA to start on Saturday.

Georgia’s dominant defense paired with the an offense scoring 40.7 points per game — featuring weapons such as Brock Bowers, Darnell Washington, James Cook and George Pickens — pitted against an exposable Alabama defense and offensive line.

My prediction: It will be all Dawgs.

Georgia gets over the hump with a 38-20 win to move to 13-0.
