Outside hitter Sarah Franklin leads the team in kills with 385. Devyn Robinson (283) and Julia Orzol (271) are also part of the high-powered attack.

Izzy Ashburn and MJ Hammill are the quarterbacks of the offense. Ashburn has 681 assists while Hammill has 462 on the season.

Hammill (37), Ashburn (35) and Gulce Guctekin (32) are three servers to watch. They lead the team in aces.

Defensively, Guctekin is the team leader in digs with 391 or 3.91 per set. For blocks, fifth-year senior Danielle Hart tops the team with 157.0. Three others (Caroline Crawford, Robinson and Anna Smrek) also have more than 100 blocks on the season.

The Badgers won the Big Ten Conference for the fourth straight year, earned a No. 1 seed in their portion of the NCAA bracket, are riding a 21-match winning streak (they haven't lost since Sept. 25) and reloaded in 2022 with largely a new cast of players from last year when they were anchored by many fifth-year seniors, including national player of the year Dana Rettke.

Sheffield, who has been Wisconsin's head coach since 2013, was named Big Ten Coach of the Year for the third time.
