The University of Oklahoma announced Sunday that it selected former assistant Brent Venables as the new head coach of its football team.

The move comes a week after news of Lincoln Riley's exit from the program to lead the University of Southern California.

Thousands of fans granted Venables as his plane touched down in Norman Sunday. The university held a press conference the following day to formally introduce him at the Everest Training Center. The event has since concluded but you can watch a full replay here:
