Gov. Ron DeSantis held a news conference Monday morning in South Florida.

DeSantis spoke around 10:30 a.m. from Christopher Columbus High School in Miami.

The governor was joined by Lt. Governor Jeanette Nuñez, Department of Education Commissioner Manny Diaz, Senate President Kathleen Passidomo and Speaker Paul Renner.

DeSantis held the event to sign school choice legislation.
