Texas Gov. Greg Abbott delivered a briefing today on a winter storm impacting Texans, discussing the state's response at a Tuesday morning event.

In Austin and parts of the Hill Country, a winter storm warning is in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday. Ice accumulations of up to three-quarters of an inch are possible and residents are advised to stay off the roads for nonemergency travel, forecasters warned. Temperatures are expected to remain near or below freezing.
