Day three of suspended Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's impeachment trial in the Texas Senate is slated to start Thursday morning.

Ryan Bangert, former deputy first assistant attorney general to Paxton, will continue his testimony Thursday after the first witness in the case, Jeff Matter, another top aide to Paxton, finished his testimony Wednesday. Lawyers with years of legal experience in Texas weighed in on both Matter and Bangert's testimony and on the second day's proceedings with the American-Statesman on Wednesday, and others will do the same Thursday evening.
