A public celebration of Jerry Richardson’s life was held Saturday, March 18, in Spartanburg, SC in the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium on the campus of Wofford College.

The event was livestreamed at 11:00 a.m.

Richardson died March 1 at age 86. Richardson spent his final decades in Charlotte, but he also held Wofford close to his heart. The Carolina Panthers were created by Richardson in 1995 and continued to own the team until 2018 when it was sold to David Tepper.
