A new trailer for "Knights of the Zodiac," the film adaptation of the classic manga "Saint Seiya," was released on Wednesday.

The trailer, which advertises the film's Japanese release date, is all about action, with plenty of big explosions, flashy effects and beams of energy.

The film stars Mackenyu Arata — who will also star in Netflix's live-action adaptation of "One Piece" — as Seiya, an orphan who is tasked with protecting the reincarnated goddess Athena after discovering he wields a mysterious power.

Rounding out the cast are Madison Iseman ("Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle"), Sean Bean ("Game of Thrones"), Mark Dacascos ("John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum"), Famke Janssen ("X-Men"), Nick Stahl ("Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines") and Diego Tinoco ("On My Block").

Directing the film is Academy Award-nominated Tomasz Baginski, who co-produces Netflix's "The Witcher."

Although the film is set to be released in Japan on April 28, a North American release date has not yet been confirmed.

An earlier teaser trailer released in November 2022 provides more plot-related context and a better look at the cast.
