Tua Tagovailoa has been playing well during the Miami Dolphins' five-game winning streak. Over the past three games, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft completed 80% of his passes with five touchdowns against just one interception.

But he didn't look sharp in the first quarter Sunday against the New York Jets. The lowlight was a return to earlier in the season when he threw some baffling interceptions in consecutive weeks. And then in the fourth quarter, he threw a pick-six directly to Brandin Echols that let the Jets tie the game.

The second interception of the game was brutal. Tua stared down Hunter Long and Echols read it perfectly, running it back 20 yards for an easy pick-six.

Twitter reacts to Tua's interception

Twitter was quick to point out just how bad it was.

Tua Tagovailoa's first interception

Just after Braxton Berrios ran in a Jets touchdown to open the scoring, Tagovailoa threw a ball over the head of DeVante Parker and directly to three Jets. Ashtyn Davis came away with the pick.

The Jets got a field goal out of the drive to make it 10-0 early.

It was unclear whether Tua was looking for Parker or tight end Mike Gisecki deeper downfield. Either way, it was an ugly pick.

Tagovailoa didn't complete a pass to a Dolphin until their third possession. He also nearly fumbled away a handoff to Duke Johnson on their first drive. Fans and analysts on social media had some things to say about Tua's rough start.

The Dolphins will need a better performance from their offense, which is without Jaylen Waddle, if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive.
