How to watch Miami Hurricanes baseball vs. Canisius Golden Griffins in NCAA Tournament on live stream

Could this be the year the Miami Hurricanes return to Omaha?

Though the 'Canes have made the NCAA Tournament for the last three seasons it was held (it was canceled in 2020), they haven't reached the College World Series since 2016, and haven't won since 2001. But this year's team, which comes into the tournament as the No. 6 seed and host of a regional, might make things interesting.

Miami opens the tournament against Canisius at Alex Rodriguez Field at Mark Light Stadium on Saturday. The game has been postponed twice due to bad weather, and the new Saturday evening start was delayed again.

The Hurricanes (39-18) did stumble down the stretch, first losing its final regular-season series to Notre Dame, then failing to get past the pool round in the ACC Tournament. Miami lost to North Carolina State, then got slammed 16-3 by Wake Forest to exit.

But Miami does have a strong offensive attack, with three players – Yohandy Morales (14 home runs), Jacob Burke (12) and Maxwell Romero Jr. (12) – in double figures with home runs. Meanwhile, pitcher Carson Palmquist has been unstoppable at times, going 9-4 with a 3.09 ERA and 108 strikeouts in 78⅔ innings.

Their first regional opponent, Canisius (29-23), won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title, sweeping Rider in the final series. Max Grant is the leading hitter for the Golden Griffins, with a .404 average, 10 home runs and 52 RBI.
