Watch Mike Rowe's 'How America Works' video excerpt about Channellock in Meadville

Channellock, the Meadville-based manufacturer of iconic tools since 1886, was featured on national television this week.

Host Mike Rowe took viewers behind the scenes on Fox Business Network's "How America Works" to see how the company makes its famous pliers and understand its role in keeping America working.

A television crew spent 10 days filming at Channellock's two Meadville plants. The episode focuses on a day in the work life of five Channellock employees: Todd Fleet, a robotic forger operator; Ken Pardee, assembler; Josh Malliard, Martemper operator; Kevin Nellis, cell operator; and David Thiess, maintenance supervisor.

Channellock has made Tongue & Groove Pliers and other hand tools since its founding by George DeArment in 1886.
