What to Watch on Monday: A Kenny Rogers documentary and a ‘Tiger King’ special

Biography: Kenny Rogers (9 p.m., A&E) - A&E chronicles the life of country superstar Kenny Rogers, who died in March. The documentary starts with Rogers’ childhood, through the rise and fall of his band The First Edition and the release of “The Gambler” and to the height of his career as a solo artist, actor and pop culture icon. The two-hour documentary has a never-before-seen interview and an acoustic performance by Rogers, and interviews with Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Chris Stapleton, Reba McEntire and others. If you missed Sunday night’s Dolly Parton documentary, it repeats tonight at 7.

Tiger King: What Really Went Down? (9 p.m., Fox) - This TMZ Investigates special looks at the story of Joe Exotic from the hit Netflix documentary series “Tiger King.” The report has exclusive interviews, plus an exploration of the big question surrounding the disappearance of Carole Baskin’s husband.

The Baker and the Beauty (10 p.m., ABC) - A new series that bills itself as a modern-day fairy tale, following regular guy Daniel and international superstar Noa. Daniel Garcia works for the family bakery, but the night he meets Noa Hamilton, his life moves into the spotlight and the couple both upend their lives to be together. It stars Victor Rasuk and Nathalie Kelley.

Bedlam (10 p.m., PBS / UNC-TV) - This Independent Lens documentary examines the mental health crisis through stories of those in and out of ERs, jails and homeless camps in Los Angeles, while the filmmaker searches for answers to his own late sister’s mental illness. Central to the story is Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors and her endless fight to help improve the well-being of her brother, who suffered from mental illness.

Paradise Lost (Spectrum) - Spectrum’s newest original drama is a gothic mystery starring Josh Hartnett and Bridget Regan. Set in small town Mississippi, “Paradise Lost” follows prodigal son, Yates Forsythe (Hartnett), as he returns to his hometown with his wife, Frances (Regan), a woman very new to this very old community. As explosive secrets become unearthed, Yates’ loyalties are tested as he struggles to choose between his past and his future. It also stars Barbara Hershey and Nick Nolte.
