WATCH: Rick Carlisle ejected in second quarter of Pacers game

HOUSTON -- Indiana coach Rick Carlisle was ejected in the second quarter of the Pacers' game against the Houston Rockets' Friday night, quickly getting two technical fouls called on him.

Carlisle was in the ear of an official while the Rockets were moving in transition. Rockets guard Jalen Green missed a layup on the break, but right when Pacers center Myles Turner grabbed a defensive rebound, Carlisle was called for a technical foul. Carlisle seemed stunned at the call and was incensed trying to plead his case. Pacers guard Buddy Hield tried to hold him back but not before Carlisle said something that drew a second technical foul and got him ejected from the game. Pacers lead assistant Lloyd Pierce took over head coaching duties for the rest of the game.

The Pacers fell behind 19-4 to start the game, but cut the deficit under 10 points in the second quarter.
