How to watch or stream the coronation of King Charles III (for free) from the US

The coronation of King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort, takes place Saturday, May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London.
You’ll have to set your alarm clock pretty early to catch all of the proceedings from the U.S., or if you’re watching CNN, just never go to bed.
Activities in London start at 6 a.m. BST, which is 1 a.m. in the United States’ Eastern time zone, with a procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey starting at 10:20 a.m. BST (4:20 ET).
The procession carrying King Charles III is expected to arrive at Westminster Abbey shortly before 11 a.m. BST (5 a.m. ET), with the King likely to wear military uniform, reports the BBC. The ceremony should begin promptly at that time.
Charles automatically ascended to the throne when his mother, Queen Elizabeth, died Sept. 8, 2022, and he was officially proclaimed Britain’s monarch two days later in an ascension ceremony. The coronation ceremony is a more formal confirmation of his role as head of state and as titular head of the Church of England, reported ABC News.

Anderson Cooper leads the network’s live coverage beginning at 5 a.m. ET outside Buckingham Palace, but the comprehensive coverage actually begins at 1 a.m., for those who want to never even go to bed Friday night.
CNN coverage (including CNN International and CNN en Español) features reporting and commentary from Christiane Amanpour, Max Foster, Richard Quest, Julia Chatterley, Kate Williams, Emily Nash, Sally Bedell Smith, Trisha Goddard and others. CNN will also have reporters along the coronation procession and from Commonwealth countries including India, Australia and Kenya.
CNN International has early coverage starting at 1 a.m. ET with anchor Isa Soares and live updates from Nada Bashir, Christina Macfarlane and Anna Stewart.

The gang will set up at the Canada Gate at Buckingham Palace, with coverage showcasing the ceremony as the Church of England formally transfers the title and power to King Charles III and his wife, Queen Consort Camilla.
FNC’s senior foreign affairs correspondent Greg Palkot, London-based correspondent Alex Hogan, State Department correspondent Benjamin Hall and chief political analyst Brit Hume will contribute to the coverage live from Westminster Abbey. Guests providing commentary on the ceremony will include FNC royal contributors Duncan Lancombe, former royal editor at The Sun and Chris Andersen, author of The King: The Life of Charles III.
Also, MacCallum will anchor her Fox News program “The Story” live from London on Friday.

This may be the most authentic viewing experience from the US.
BBC America will start coverage at 6 a.m. Coverage will begin with the ceremony itself, followed by the Royal Procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace, and then finally the flypast, when aircraft from the British Army, Royal Airforce and Royal Navy will travel by the palace’s balcony.
