Series history

Kentucky leads the all-time series 17-15, but Louisville holds a 15-11 advantage in the modern era of the rivalry since 1984. Kentucky has won the last two meetings in the rivalry, a 45-13 win in Lexington in 2019 and a 56-10 win in Louisville in 2018. The rivalry was not played in 2020 due to the SEC moving to a conference-only schedule during the COVID-19 pandemic.
