Watch this surprised mom's reaction when her Marine daughter returns home after deployment

A heartwarming surprise left one Oklahoma mother in disbelief when her Marine daughter returned home after being away for 18 months.

Lance Corporal Somer Horn returned from deployment in Okinawa, Japan.

Somer, 20, from Sallisaw, Oklahoma joined the Marines at the beginning of 2020 and attended training in Parris Island, South Carolina. Prior to her deployment she had been away from family following an injury and the pandemic.

She left Okinawa without telling her parents, flying to Tokyo and then to Atlanta.

With help from her sister, Delayna, the surprise was set as her family members gathered for their regular Sunday morning coffee that week. Tammy Horn, Somer’s mom, was in the kitchen when Somer began to creep in slowly.
