STOW, Ohio (WJW) — First responders were called to the scene of a crash that shut down a ramp on State Route 8 Monday afternoon around 3 p.m.

The ramp from Seasons Road to SR-8 was finally reopened in both directions just after 6 p.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, after video shows a truck went off the road into a retention pond (see SkyFOX footage in the video player above).

‘Nightmare situation’: Officer shot trying to rescue hostage identified

The Stow Police Department reported the driver said a blown-out tire caused him to go off the road. He was taken to the hospital for his injuries, which are not considered life threatening. Police said no one else was in the truck.

It is not clear if the truck has been removed from the embankment.
