What to Watch on Tuesday: A Natalie Wood documentary, an Ava Gardner TV series

The Conners (8 p.m., ABC) - Dan is in danger of losing the family home as the bank threatens foreclosure in the Season 2 finale. ABC sitcoms “Bless This Mess,” “Mixed-ish” and “Black-ish” also have season finales tonight.

Natalie Wood: What Remains Behind (9 p.m., HBO) - A new documentary directed by Laurent Bouzereau in which Gregson Wagner explores her mother’s public life and private persona through personal interviews with those closest to her, including Natalie Wood’s husband, Robert J. Wagner, who speaks on-camera about Wood’s controversial death for the first time.

George W. Bush (9 p.m., PBS / UNC-TV) - We get the final chapter of this new two-part American Experience documentary, which is part of the series’ Presidents Collection. It features the candid insights of several people who served in the George W. Bush administration, including Ari Fleischer, Karl Rove, Richard Clarke and Karen Hughes. The film explores Bush’s unlikely road to the White House and the many challenges of his presidency, from 9/11 to Hurricane Katrina to the financial crisis.

Drain the Oceans (9 p.m., National Geographic) - A new season premieres with a look at the Atomic Ghost Fleet at the bottom of the ocean. The program has renowned oceanographers and maritime archaeologists leading ambitious expeditions, using innovative, state-of-the-art digital technology.

Tirdy Works (10 p.m., truTV) - A new unscripted sitcom about a “moose tird” entrepreneur in Maine whose moose-poop creations become popular after a local news story about her business goes viral.
