UNC women's basketball will start its March Madness run by playing St. John's in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The No. 6 Tar Heels (21-10) advanced to the ACC quarterfinals before falling to Duke. The 11-seed St. John's (23-8) won the play-in game 66-64 over Purdue on Thursday.
The winner will advance to play the winner of Ohio State and James Madison on Monday on the Buckeyes' home court.
