Hurricane Idalia has been trending on social media. And based on the videos of the storm surge, flooding and wind damage that people are sharing on Twitter (X), Instagram and TikTok, it's easy to see why.

The Category 4 storm made landfall around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, near Keaton Beach in the Big Bend/Tallahassee area of Florida. It’s the biggest storm to make landfall in the Big Bend area of Florida in over 100 years.
