The planned outage and boil water advisory come after a hard freeze in the area.

Parish officials said the outage is expected to last for about six hours and is intended to help the water system rebuild capacity.

Officials are asking residents to conserve water during this time and to bring water to a rolling boil before consuming it until the advisory is lifted.
