Water Shoots From Storm Drain as Flash Flood Hits Toronto

A geyser-like jet of water was seen shooting out of a Toronto storm drain on Wednesday, July 8, as severe thunderstorms and flash flooding swept through Ontario.

Vehicles were submerged and widespread power outages were reported Wednesday afternoon, according to local media.

Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the city and said the storm was capable of producing “strong wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain.”
