Water spews from Manhattan high-rise building

NEW YORK (PIX11) — A massive stream of water spilled from the side of a Manhattan high-rise building on Thursday, video on Citizen App shows.

The incident happened just after 12 p.m. at a building on Eighth Avenue near 42nd Street, FDNY officials said.

The water was shut off by building personnel, fire officials said. No injuries were reported.

The gush of water was related to a routine fire pump test that was being performed under the supervision of city officials. The water was confined to the property, according to officials.
