Seven multi-million-dollar South Carolina houses have been listed recently on a Facebook page called Ridiculous Real Estate, which features houses that will make you say, “I’m not believing this.”

The page is tied to a blog called Homes of the Rich, started in 2008 by then 18-year-old high school student Kenny Forder.

He describes himself as “mansion obsessed.”

The houses listed are a mix of homes for sale and some not, houses owned by famous people such as actor Sylvester Stallone and NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and others owned by just plain rich people.

Some feature things not normally seen such as a waterfall and putting green. One is all black. Inside and out.

Stenhouse’s house is for sale — listed for $15,995,000 — a 140-acre equestrian estate in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Among the most expensive featured recently is the $54,995,000 Beverly Hills estate of “Full House” creator Jeff Franklin at 10066 Cielo Drive. What the listing doesn’t say is the 21,000-square foot mansion was built on the site where Sharon Tate and four others were murdered in 1969 by members of the Manson family.

The new house has nine bedrooms, 18 bathrooms, living and dining rooms separated by an aquarium, multiple wet bars, billiards room, 14-seat home theater, gym, hair salon, 16-car subterranean garage, three waterfalls, a 35-foot water slide and a lazy river.

In the not so rarefied air comes the South Carolina houses.

In Beaufort, there is a $2.44 million waterfront farmhouse-style house for sale at 550 Distant Island Drive. Listed by Allison Sutcliffe Greco of Keller Williams Realty, the house has four bedrooms, four baths and 3,218 square feet.

It has a master suite and office on the first floor with a screened-in porch. The three other bedrooms are on the second floor, which also has a living room with a balcony overlooking the water and a gym.

At 12 Lancaster Boulevard in Bluffton, a $2.5 million house on Lake Berkeley has five bedrooms and six bathrooms. There are arched doorways, hickory floors and hand hammered faux copper barreled ceiling in the main hallway.

One wing has the primary suite, the other has four ensuite bedrooms. There’s a cinema room with a bar and porch overlooking the lake and pool.

Also listed on Ridiculous Real Estate is a six-bedroom, nine-bath, 6,895 square-foot house at 8914 Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. It sold in January for $4,995,000 and features ocean views from almost every room.

“Surrounded by estate homes, truly the finest stretch of homes found in the Grand Strand,” the listing said.

Salt water oceanfront pool and spa, billiard room oversized terraces and a Bocce court.

“Perfect entertaining home,” the listing said.

Other South Carolina homes on the Facebook page are in Edisto, Charleston and Mount Pleasant. None are currently for sale.

And then there’s this, farther afield but still not to be believed. In the Bel Air neighborhood is the 60,000-square-foot “Chateau des Fleurs” described as one of the largest homes in Los Angeles. French Chateau-inspired, it has five staircases, four elevators, a two-story library, ballroom, huge master suite, two gyms and a 30-car underground garage.

This one is just for gawking. It’s not for sale.
