A waterfront parcel in Jamestown is available in auction. Here's how you can bid.

The U.S. General Services Administration is offering for sale by public auction a vacant, ocean-front parcel in Jamestown. The site is adjacent to the former U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) lighthouse located at Conanicut Point.

GSA is marketing the parcel for sale on behalf of the USCG. Proceeds from the sale will be returned to the USCG to support their housing mission.

The property is the second site recently made available in Jamestown following Beavertail State Park lighthouse. It was announced in July that applications for the transfer of ownership of the Beavertail lighthouse were approved by the U.S. Department of the Interior’s National Park Service, with the site going to the R.I. Department of Environmental Management.

●        Is adjacent to and previously was a portion of the former USCG lighthouse located at the north end (Conanicut Point) of Jamestown.

●        The property has frontage on North Bayview Drive.

●        The property is identified as Plat 1 Lot 226 in the town of Jamestown registry.

Auction Details

●        The auction is currently open.

●        Interested bidders are required to register in advance and submit a $5,000 registration deposit.

●        Bid increments are $1,000.

●        Site inspections will only be offered to registered bidders.
