The Watermark at Trinity Opens Independent Living Community

TRINITY, FL — The Watermark at Trinity, a full-service senior living community owned and operated by Watermark Retirement Communities, has opened the doors to its new independent living community – The Town Center. Construction on the $19.3 million independent living community began in 2018 and adds 161,800 square feet of space to the property by way of a five-stor,y 117-unit residential community.

The Watermark at Trinity was built in 2016 featuring only assisted living and memory care services to residents. The new Town Center independent living building sits on the southeast corner of the property with frontage on Trinity Blvd.

“We’re thrilled to add independent living to our community and offer our residents the opportunity to age in place if the need for assisted living and memory care arises,” said David Schupack, Executive Director of The Watermark at Trinity. “The COVID-19 pandemic has created a new list of worries for seniors in our area, and our hope is that this new community will offer them a safe place to live and thrive in the current phase of their life.”

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, all residents will be tested for the virus before move-in. The community will also follow strict social distancing guidelines and adhere to state guidance regarding indoor seating at restaurants in all three dining venues.

The community offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences ranging from 732-square-feet to 1425-square-feet. Amenities include a pool, fitness center, salon and spa, three unique dining venues, access to courtyards, and housekeeping services. Residents will also have access to a dynamic calendar of programs, events and outings planned by the community.

The Watermark at Trinity is located in the rapidly growing State Road 54 corridor in Pasco County, which has seen incredible growth over the last five years with the development of six master-planned communities. Plans are currently underway for as many as five new grocery stores to serve the area’s growing population.

According to the Pasco County website, more than 30% of residents are currently over 60 years of age. Nationally, the retirement-age population is projected to double between 2018 and 2060, as baby boomers continue to age. The Watermark at Trinity will be one of only five independent living communities in the Pasco County to serve the growing senior community.

“The need for independent, assisted living and memory care will continue grow with the aging senior population,” said Schupack. “Florida in particular will see a marked rise in the demand for senior living, as it consistently ranks as one of the top places to retire in terms of affordability, quality of life and healthcare.”

The Watermark at Trinity Town Center will host private showings of the community. All guests will be required to wear a mask and have their temperature taken before entering the building. Showings will also be staggered to adhere to social distancing measures. To schedule a tour, call the community at (727) 777-5063.

The independent living community was designed by Chancey Design Partnership and constructed by LandSouth Construction.
