Watertown Coronavirus: 69 Confirmed Cases In Town

WATERTOWN, MA — Watertown reported 69 positive cases of the new coronavirus in town, as of Wednesday. Fifteen people have recovered from the virus in town.

The town advised all residents to stay home and avoid unnecessary travel and other unnecessary activities. Residents over 70 years of age or with underlying health conditions, who are considered at high risk when exposed to COVID-19, should limit social interactions with other people as much as possible.

Watertown has established a COVID-19 informational call center to allow residents and business owners to ask non-medical questions specific to COVID-19 in Watertown. The call center will be staffed Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm and the number for the call center is # 617-972-6565. Questions can also be emailed to COVID19@police.watertown-ma.gov.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health on Tuesday announced 96 more deaths from the new coronavirus, bringing the state's death toll to 356. Th total number of cases in Massachusetts, as of Tuesday, is 15,202.
