This Waukesha Kwik Trip plans to expand by 1,150 square feet and build a new car wash

Kwik Trip is planning to expand and improve one of its Waukesha locations.

The city's plan commission on Aug. 23 approved Kwik Trip's proposal to build a new car wash and add more than 1,000 square feet to its convenience store at 2530 N. Grandview Blvd.

Last year, Kwik Trip purchased the vacant building that was once Peoples State Bank at 2500 N. Grandview Blvd. for $810,000, property records show.

Now, it's using that property for the expansion, adding 1,150 square feet onto its existing 4,800-square-foot convenience store, according to plans submitted to the city.

It also plans to add a detached, double-bay car wash, demolishing its existing one, city documents show.

Site plans submitted to the city of Waukesha show a double-bay car wash that is set to replace the existing one at 2530 N. Grandview Blvd.

Improvements to the site, like modern storm water facilities, extensive landscaping and additional parking, are also planned, said project manager Trent Kastenschmidt in a letter to the city.

"This project will be a multimillion-dollar investment in the city of Waukesha," Kastenschmidt said. "Not only in thephysical improvements, but in the development of a vacant parcel."
