Wayne County elections: Voters re-elect commissioners, other incumbents

Wayne County voters re-elected their current slate of county commissioners.

Republicans Brian Smith and James Shook led with 6,973 and 6,396 votes, respectively. Jocelyn Cramer, a Democrat, was re-elected with 4,612 votes while Democratic challenger Michael Dougherty finished with 3,359.

The results are unofficial and include Election Day and mail-in and absentee ballots for all precincts. These totals do not reflect provisional ballots.

Races for other county positions were uncontested. These officials were re-elected:

  • Auditors: Catherine Jane Rickard (R), 7,268 votes; Carla Komar (R), 6,463; Robin Sampson (D), 4,392

  • Coroner: Edward Howell (cross-filed D/R), 10,567 votes

  • District attorney: A.G. Howell (R), 9,505 votes

  • Prothonotary and clerk of courts: Edward "Ned" Sandercock (R), 9,437 votes

  • Register of wills and recorder of deeds: Deborah Bates (R), 9,434 votes

  • Sheriff: Christopher Rosler (R), 9,431 votes

  • Treasurer: Brian T. Field (R), 9,259 votes
