Wayne County Foundation's Rebecca Gilliam selected for Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation

RICHMOND, Ind. — Wayne County Foundation (WCF) Executive Director Rebecca Gilliam has been selected as a fellow in the Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation (MDLF) Fellowship Class VI, according to a WCF release.

Established in 2017, the MDLF is a statewide network of people dedicated to "making Indiana the best place to build a future." Gilliam is one of just 25 leaders chosen from across the state and one of only two from East Central Indiana.

"Rebecca is an outstanding leader, and I am delighted that she has been selected for this prestigious program," WCF Board Chair Kathy Girten said in the release.

Gilliam was selected based on her demonstrated leadership, entrepreneurial spirit and alignment to the MDLF's core principles of individual liberty, personal responsibility and the importance of private enterprise, the release states. In this two-year fellowship, Gilliam will participate in meetings, do coursework on current issues and get opportunities to learn from "a variety of experts from various fields."

“This class is diverse in thought, region, industry and background, and we are looking forward to the growth and development they’ll experience over the next two years,” MDLF Fellowship Committee Chair Blair Milo said in the release.

The WCF welcomes this experience for Gilliam, as she will bring her new insights back to her community after completing the course, contributing to the mission of "improving the quality of life in Wayne County now and for future generations."
