Wayne Williams makes decision on congressional run

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Wayne Williams, Councilmember for Colorado Springs has announced a decision on a potential run for Colorado’s fifth congressional District seat.

“After careful consideration, prayer, and reflection, I have made the difficult decision not to make a run for Congress at this time. I will continue to support the causes I am most passionate about, and that includes working hard in this congressional race,” said Williams.

Williams said Colorado’s Fifth Congressional District needs a representative who will work within the conference and across the aisle to seek solutions for the problems facing the nation. Williams said he believes the best person for the job is Jeff Crank who launched his campaign for Congress earlier in January.
