Waynesboro woman charged with murder in sister's death

ALBEMARLE COUNTY — A Waynesboro woman has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of her sister in Albemarle County, according to a press release.

The killing took place Tuesday.

At 5 a.m. on Tuesday, the Albemarle County Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at a residence in the area of Cypress Pointe Drive.

Officers arrived on scene to discover a dead woman inside the home. A second woman was detained at the scene, the release said.

Police said it was a domestic incident.

The woman killed was identified as 59-year-old Jennie M. Quick.

On Friday, it was announced that her sister, Jessie Christine Krahenbill Greyer, 59, of Waynesboro, is charged with second-degree murder. She is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
