All The Ways You Can Subscribe To Disney+, Which Is Now Finally Live
After a long wait, Disney+ is up and running.

After quite a long period of hype and waiting, Disney's new streaming service, Disney+, is finally live, up, and running.
The biggest draw to start out is the first-ever live-action original Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. The show, which is created and run by writer/director Jon Favreau, is about a Boba Fett-esque bounty hunter and is set in the time between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. The show is said to figure majorly into the overall Star Wars universe, which could be big with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker due out in theaters on December 19.
In addition to The Mandalorian, Disney+ is also the home to every Star Wars movie not called Solo or The Last Jedi (both of which will eventually make their way to the platform once the rights with Netflix run out). That means both the original and prequel trilogies, plus The Force Awakens and Rogue One are streaming right now.
The platform will eventually be home to many Marvel and MCU movies as well. At launch, selections include Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, both Guardians of the Galaxy movies—in total, 15 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's 23 films are available to stream right away. Eventually, the entire franchise will live on Disney+.
Another of the platform's biggest gets is that the entire catalogue of The Simpsons will also live there—yep, all 32 seasons (and counting) from 1989 and onward.
Other original series and films are up and running for the Disney+ launch too, including a live-action version of Lady and the Tramp starring Justin Theroux and Tessa Thompson, and (for all the nostalgic metafiction fans out there) a new series called High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, based on the Disney Channel Original Movies that first launched a certain Zac Efron to fame.
For those planning to sign up, Disney+ is offering a number of options. You can sign up for Disney+ by itself for $6.99 a month (with a free 7-day trial to kick things off), or you can sign up for a bundle packaging Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ that will run you $12.99 a month.
Disney is also offering Pixar, Captain Marvel, The Mandalorian, High School Musical, and Lady and the Tramp themed bundles for when you sign up, but it seems like the only difference in these options is the photo and text at the top of your browser page. Still, if you feel a particular High School Musical allegiance, by all means.
