LISA HUGHES: Hi, everyone. Thanks for joining us. I'm Lisa Hughes and this is a WBZ News Update.

Investigators now say that a woman who was found dead inside her home in Derry, New Hampshire, was murdered. And police say Manuel Viana shot his 53-year-old estranged wife, Lynn Marie, then set the house on fire. Viana is in the hospital with head trauma and burns. Prosecutors say if he survives, he'll be charged with first-degree murder.

There was also a fire at this massive home in Mattapoisett. You can see the damage from SkyEye, particularly when you are looking at this part of the roof of the home on Ned's Point Road. No word yet whether anybody was home when this fire broke out. Investigators are now working to figure out how it started.

Students at Northeastern University will have to get the coronavirus vaccine before they return to campus in the fall. The chancellor says Northeastern will require the vaccine so that classrooms, residence halls, and dining facilities can return to normal capacity. We reached out to other Boston area colleges and universities, including Boston University, Harvard, and Emerson. So far, none has announced a vaccine requirement.

Now, we are in for a dry and sunny stretch. And for more on that, we send it over to Eric.

ERIC FISHER: That's been a really nice run here for April, and that will continue for the rest of the week. Tonight, we'll see partly cloudy skies. Lows down near 40, pretty comfortable. And then tomorrow, similar formula here. A mix of sun and clouds, low 60s inland, 50s at the coast. A little bit of a light onshore breeze to keep it a touch cooler along the water for tomorrow.

Low to mid 50s there. Low 60s for the inland spots. Looks pretty good though for the Red Sox' getaway day, 110 [? first ?] [? pitch, ?] around 54 degrees. Again, the wind off the water means it's a good idea to have a jacket if you're standing out in the bleachers.

On Thursday, we do it again. Morning clouds give way to sunshine, some 50s at the coast, and 60s for inland areas. It actually gets warmer and even sunnier on Friday to wrap up the week. What a stretch. Lisa?

LISA HUGHES: Perfect timing. Eric, thanks so much, and thanks for being with us. This has been a WBZ News Update.
