David Epstein has your latest weather forecast.
DAVID EPSTEIN: Good Sunday to you. We have rain moving into the area, and you know, you might be watching this early before the rain gets in here, or you're watching it later on in the afternoon when it's pouring. And it is going to pour, especially overnight tonight with temperatures only around 50 degrees. We'll fall back later tonight with that northeasterly wind.
So here's our highs. As the rain moves in, it gets heavier and steadier. Tonight, maybe the rumble of thunder, some downpours, rain gauges filling back up again, over an inch of rain in many areas.
Tomorrow, the rain shuts off pretty early. There might be a lingering shower in the afternoon, but most of the rain does not fall through the first part of the afternoon, only a tenth. Nor does it fall the first half of the evening, only half an inch.
But watch what happens from mid-evening on to tomorrow morning. We get over an inch of rain. That's when the heaviest comes in and most of the heaviest from Boston, south and east over the Cape and the islands. It looks pretty wet.
Temperatures by Tuesday, however, in the 70s, and it shows up in the seven-day forecast. Look at all the 70s, and even some 80s, by the end of the week. Have a great day and a happy Memorial Day.
