KEN MACLEOD: Hi, everyone. Welcome to this WBZ Web Update. I'm Ken MacLeod. Here are some of the stories making news right now. Sadness today in western Massachusetts, home to the Capitol Police officer killed yesterday when he was rammed by a car outside the Capitol building in D.C. Officer Billy Evans grew up in North Adams and was an 18-year veteran of the force, which he considered to be his dream job. His comrade shot and killed the driver of that car who jumped from it and came at them with a knife.

A spectacular four alarm fire erupted at a home under construction in Somerville this afternoon. It began shortly before 12:30 PM on Morrison Avenue. Large plumes of smoke from the big flames can be seen from miles away. Fortunately, no one was hurt and investigators don't think the cause is suspicious.

Fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli has been released from a California prison to home confinement. He's been serving time for his role in a college admissions bribery scheme. Giannulli and his wife, former "Full House" star Lori Loughlin, pled guilty last year to paying half a million dollars to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California as rowing recruits. She was released from prison in December. Let's go ahead and get a check on that forecast now. A lot of folks hoping for a really nice sunny Easter Sunday. So let's check in with Meteorologist Sarah Wroblewski. Are they going to get that?

SARAH WROBLEWSKI: It looks as though. We've got some really nice conditions heading our way. Temperatures will be a little bit milder too. In fact, for your Saturday, it was a chilly start. But temperatures recovered into the upper 40s to lower 50s, close to where we should be for this time of year. But it was sunny. Now there are some clouds to the west we're going to track tonight that will scoot to the south and east. So we should be staying mainly clear. But also noticing some clouds out to our east here that will begin to come back into the forecast early in the week.

So tonight, mainly clear, temperatures back into the 20s-30s for the coast, not as chilly as it was last night. And Easter Sunday looking fantastic with sunshine. Temperatures will recover nicely into the mid to upper 50s. A very nice afternoon. And it's going to look great at Fenway of course. We're looking at temperatures in the upper 50s there. That wind out of the northwest, about 5 to 15 miles per hour. So starting off the day with sunshine. Out to the west though, there is that disturbance bringing some clouds. But overall, I'm expecting Sunday night into Monday, clouds returning, especially across Eastern areas, as that system sort of gets a little bit closer, could nudge in some showers as we go along the coast, some pockets of drizzle something we'll have to monitor.

But as you travel further west, the brighter the skies, the warmer the conditions. And temperatures overall this week will be above average. We'll go with mid to upper 50s, cooler conditions at the coast. Lingering showers at the coast on Tuesday. And then we increase clouds late in the week with a next chance of showers potentially by next weekend, Ken.

It looks pretty good overall. Sarah, thanks. That's a look at your top stories from cbsboston.com. Hope you have a great night. We'll see you next time.
