WCT Sports Spotlight: Willmar's Erin Eilers joins the show
Nov. 3—WILLMAR — West Central Tribune sports reporter Michael Lyne chats with Willmar girls' cross-country sophomore Erin Eilers for episode five of the WCT Sports Spotlight Show.
The WCT Sports Spotlight Show aims to showcase one athlete a week from the West Central Area.
Eilers' sister, Lauren, makes a special appearance on the show. Lauren ranks No. 6 in the state in Class AA for girls cross-country.
Erin and Lauren will look to help the No. 4 ranked Cardinals win the Class AA state championship. The meet is set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Olaf College in Northfield.
The Eilers' talk about the Cardinals' season as well as the state meet. The two also answer fun questions, so that the Willmar community can get to know them better outside of running.
