Weather Authority visits the Arc of the Shoals
TUSCUMBIA, Ala. — On Thursday morning, Meteorologist Jessica Camuto visited the Arc of the Shoals in Tuscumbia to speak with a great group of men and women.
Jessica spoke to the group about what it’s like to be a meteorologist and how she puts together a forecast for the newscast!
They discussed the different types of precipitation we see in North Alabama, why we can see different types, and tornado formation.
Everyone knew where their safe place was during a severe weather event and the difference between a watch and a warning.
Before leaving Jessica answered some questions about why clouds can appear in different colors and tornadoes.
