“Even with uncooperative weather, we’re glad we can still make the best of the situation and offer free community fun at Titletown,” said AriensCo Vice President of Marketing & Portfolio Strategy Stephen Ariens. “Tubing, skating, skiing, and many other winter sports can all be enjoyed with family, so we’re optimistic that we’ll see a great turnout. And why not – the temperature is going to feel pretty nice!”

The event will take place on the same day that Free Tubing Day was scheduled for, Sunday, February 4. The free ice skating on Hy-Vee Plaza includes free skate rentals for everyone as well, courtesy of AriensCo.

Skating will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. that Sunday, with admissions closing at 5 p.m.

Officials say that all guests must sign a waiver to go ice skating at Titletown and ask that the waivers be completed before guests arrive. Waivers can be filled out through Titletown’s website here.

Each adult (18+) must complete their own waiver, with every adult able to add up to 10 minors per waiver. A new waiver must be completed for every visit unless the visitor has a season pass.

Following the completion of the waiver, guests will receive a QR code for them to scan upon check-in at the admissions building.
