Weather: NWS surveying Greater Cincinnati area for storm damage, evidence of tornadoes
The National Weather Service is surveying areas around the region to determine damage from yesterday's storms, and whether the severe weather produced any tornadoes.
The Wilmington office is surveying the following areas:
Near Middletown in Butler County.
Near Orient in Pickaway County.
Near Pike Township in Clark County.
The results of the surveys are expected to be completed by Tuesday evening.
The weather service confirmed that a tornado touched down Monday in the area northwest of Middletown in Butler County. It was confirmed by radar around 2:40 p.m., and tornado debris was found around the area.

The severe weather Monday produced wind gusts up to around 50 mph and a tornado watch for several areas in Central and South-Central Ohio.
Storm surveys are scheduled on Tues to investigate damage in Butler, Pickaway, and Clark Counties. Preliminary results will be reported when a determination is made regarding whether the storm in question was tornadic or not. A final report will likely be issued later in the day.

The storm system moved west to east yesterday, causing high winds and tornado warnings and watches in Central Indiana.
Tuesday is expected to be cooler than Monday and Wednesday as high pressure builds in the Ohio Valley. The daily high will be around 56 and overnight lows will be around 42. By Wednesday, more storms will move through the region, with a daily high around 73.
Widespread rain will spread across the region Thursday night into Friday, and the rain may be heavy at times which could result in localized flooding. Windy conditions are also forecast Friday into Friday night, with gusts between 40-45 mph possible at times, according to a hazardous weather outlook.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 42.
Wednesday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 73 and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m.
Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Showers and thunderstorms likely before 8 p.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 a.m.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60 and a chance of showers before 8 a.m.
Thursday night: A low around 44 and rain, mainly after 8 p.m. The rain could be heavy at times.
Friday: A high near 61 and rain. The rain could be heavy at times.
Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 47.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 53.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60.
