BISFA Holiday Spectacular

The Barbara Ingram School for the Arts Holiday Spectacular show scheduled for Thursday evening has been canceled.

Washington County Public Schools

Due to conditions west of Interstate 81, all Washington County Public Schools are now closed Thursday. WCPS employees are on Code Orange.

Today’s closure means an early start to winter break for students. All WCPS schools and facilities will be closed from Friday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Jan. 2. Schools will reopen Jan. 3.

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts will be closed Thursday and Friday. Staff will be working from home for anyone with museum business. In addition, the museum will be closed Saturday and Sunday. Blue Ridge Community and Technical College

All BRCTC on campus activities and classes are canceled all day Thursday due to ice. Remote work/instruction continue. Emergency Employees will report to supervisors.

Washington County Government

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential Washington County employees Thursday. County employees who are designated as “essential” are expected to perform their duties as usual. Employees who can telework should report at their usual time.

Mansion House Art Center and Gallery

Due to inclement weather, the Mansion House Art Center and Gallery in Hagerstown's City Park, operated by the Valley Art Association, will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 22 and 23. The Mansion House also will be closed Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 24 and 25, and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, for the Christmas and New Year's holidays. Kaetzel transfer station

Due to a power outage the Washington County Solid Waste & Recycling Kaetzel transfer station, located at 2926 Kaetzel Road, is closed today, Thursday, Dec. 22.

Washington County Historical Society

Washington County Historical Society and the Miller House Museum are closed for the remainder of Thursday.
