Here are weather-related closings, cancellations in Hagerstown, Tri-State for Jan. 20

Changes due to inclement weather include:

Maryland

  • Meritus Total Rehab Care, both the Robinwood and Meritus Medical Plaza locations, will open at 9 a.m. Thursday.

  • Washington County Public Schools will be on a two-hour delay Thursday, Jan. 20. Employees will be on Code Yellow status.

  • The City of Hagerstown has delayed trash and recycling pickup as a result of the snowstorm earlier in the week. All collections will be delayed one day for the entire week.

  • Liberal leave is in effect Thursday, Jan. 20, for all non-essential Washington County employees. Employees designated as essential should perform their duties as normal. Those who can telework should report at their usual time.

Pennsylvania

  • All Chambersburg Area School District schools and district offices will open on a two-hour delay Thursday, Jan. 20, due to impending winter weather.

  • Greencastle-Antrim School District will begin with a two-hour delay on Thursday, Jan. 20. "We will assess the road conditions and make a decision about the remainder of the day by 8:00 am," according to district Superintendent Lura Hanks. "Should our roads be unsafe for travel, we will shift to a flexible instruction day."

  • The Waynesboro Area School District's website updated this morning to say schools are closed Thursday, Jan. 20.

West Virginia

  • Morgan County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Thursday, Jan. 20. The school system will monitor conditions and evaluate roads in the morning. Employees will follow reporting code D. As of now, all schools will be open for in-person learning on a two-hour delay schedule.

  • Berkeley County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Thursday, Jan. 20.

  • Jefferson County Schools are closed on Thursday, Jan. 20, due to dropping temperatures alongside precipitation, allowing for slick road conditions during school system travel times, according to the school system's website.
