Weather-related school delays, closings in the Bloomington area

Bitter temperatures are expected overnight, with the mercury falling to around 5 degrees by the time school buses normally would be picking up students Wednesday morning. So far four school systems in Greene County have announced Wednesday delays, while Monroe County's public schools are still on normal schedules.

Greene County

BLOOMFIELD

Bloomfield School District will be on a two-hour delay Wednesday with no morning pre-kindergarten session, according to an email sent out late Tuesday afternoon.

EASTERN GREENE

Eastern Greene Schools will be on a two-hour delay Wednesday, according to an announcement its Facebook page.

LINTON-STOCKTON

Linton-Stockton School Corp. schools will be on a two-hour delay Wednesday and there will be no morning preschool, according to an announcement on its Facebook page.

WHITE RIVER VALLEY

White River Valley School District will be on a two-hour delay Wednesday, according to a tweet from @WRVwolverines.

Monroe County

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, weather concerns had not prompted any changes to Wednesday class schedules for Monroe County Community School Corp. or Richland-Bean Blossom School Corp.
