Weather: Worcester schools to let out early Wednesday

With the week's second helping of snow due to arrive Wednesday afternoon, schools in Worcester and several other communities will be let out early.

The forecast calls for snow to start about 2 p.m. and continue into the evening, according to the National Weather Service. Worcester could see 5 inches of snow.

Worcester students will be let out two hours earlier than usual on Wednesday. Auburn, Wachusett and Leicester are among the other districts with an early dismissal.

Weather has upended the school schedule this week. Snow on Monday prompted the cancellation of school that day and a delayed opening on Tuesday.

A parking ban in Worcester goes into effect at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
