Webb - Bell Buckle girls beat MTCS to repeat as DII-A TSSAA basketball state champions

COOKEVILLE – A retooled Webb School - Bell Buckle rolled to the program's second girls basketball state championship in as many years.

The Lady Feet broke away from Middle Tennessee Christian School in the second half to win 68-48 in the TSSAA Division II Class A championship Saturday at Tennessee Tech and finish the season with a 21-game win streak.

Webb (30-6) led 20-19 in a half filled with turnovers and missed shots before picking up its offense in the second half and outscoring the Lady Cougars by 19 points in the final 16 minutes.

Webb's lineup featured standouts from the Bahamas, Canada, Dominican Republic, Spain and Middle Tennessee. It took time to mesh, but the Lady Feet dominated their classification en route to the championship.
