Jan. 3—Small business owners can tune in Wednesday for a free discussion of changes to expect in the new year, along with analysis of a template that's available for entrepreneurs looking to do some strategic planning.

An hourlong webinar starting at noon will open with Kelly Bearden, director of Cal State Bakersfield's Small Business Development Center, previewing changes impacting businesses, offering insights on the economy and pointing participants to capital resources.

He will be joined by small business development consultant Tom Weir, who will share details about the SBDC's Blueprint for Small Business Success. The template is a business model generation worksheet for not only strategic planning but also creating or overhauling business plans.
