WeConcile Launches Couples Therapy App Aimed at Improving Relationships

Olga, Washington--(Newsfile Corp. - November 7, 2022) - WeConcile has announced the launch of an app that guides users through relationship self-therapy to enhance communication, resolve conflicts and improve relationships. The app is available on the Google PlayStore and Apple iStore. WeConcile is positioned as a therapeutic mobile app that can be used by all adults, whether they are in a relationship or not, to develop the skills they need to optimize their significant relationships.

WeConcile was established by Jennifer Lehr, a relationship expert and licensed marriage and family therapist. She worked for over four years creating and compiling the resources in the app to help couples and individuals identify wounds and triggers that could sabotage relationships and tackle them in order to resolve conflicts.

In the US, almost 50% of all marriages in the United States end in divorce or separation. Failed relationships have a profound effect on mental health and can lead to emotional distress for individuals, children and families. Spending on mental health services in the US reached $225 billion in 2019. Marriage counseling can be prohibitively expensive, with the out-of-pocket rates for a couples therapy session ranging from $100 to $320. Many Americans divorce or stay in unfulfilling relationships due to lack of help. These statistics point to the need for cost-effective, easily accessible therapeutic help that can be used by couples to enhance their relational skills before they reach the point of no return.

The WeConcile app has a simple, user-friendly interface with 8 sections:

  • Start Here - The video explains the features of the app.

  • I Need Help - The go to module for users having a crisis so that they can calm down and communicate effectively with their partner.

  • Explore - An extensive library of over 200 topics for self-paced healing.

  • We Island - serves as a repository of positive feedback from their partner.

  • Journal - this section serves as a repository for 'I Need Help' input and a place to express feelings and thoughts.

  • Discuss - serves as a section to share relevant content they would like to discuss with their partners.

  • PartnerChat - in this module, users share feedback with their partners related to the 'I Need Help' section.

  • WeConcile Relationship Quiz - this is a very detailed quiz that helps users understand their strong and weak points and track their progress over time.

Commenting on the launch of the app, Jennifer Lehr, Author and Founder of WeConcile, "Many people fail at relationships because they lack the skills and tools to work on them. My own failed relationships and my training as a psychotherapist strengthened my resolve to find out more about strategies to make relationships work. WeConcile incorporates Emotionally Focused Therapy, the most statistically successful couples therapy modality. All the modules of the app are geared to providing users with better self-awareness and understanding to equip them with the tools they need for insight and growth. The app provides cost-effective, instantly accessible relationship guidance to all users, regardless of whether they are in a relationship or not. Even those who are single or recovering from a breakup can use the app to understand more and give them a better chance of making their next relationship a success. Love is precious and with WeConcile we are aiming to give everyone a better chance at love."
