Wednesday evening weather forecast with Meteorologist Remeisha Shade

A new record high temperature was reached today at Houston Hobby Airport at 82 beating the previous record high of 80. Bush Intercontinental Airport reached 80 degrees which was just shy of the record high of 81 from 1995. Galveston did tie the record high for today at 75 degrees. A cold front will swing through overnight which will end our record heat and bring a chance for some scattered showers. I can't rule out a brief rumble of thunder, but no severe weather is expected. The front will usher in more seasonable air for Thursday and Friday with highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s and 40s. Temperatures jump back close to 80 for M.L.K. Jr. Day on Monday with spotty showers expected.
