Here are Wednesday night's high school game results, and Thursday's schedule

BOYS SOCCER

Chariho 3, Pilgrim 1: The visiting Chargers raced out to a 3-1 halftime advantage and that's how the Division II contest ended when it was called because of darkness in the second half. Chris Niziolek had a pair of goals, Kody Poplaski scored one and Jack Grissom had an assist for Chariho. Haiden Reiss scored the Patriots' goal, assisted by Ryan Annunziata. Pilgrim (3-3) keeper Aidan Dumond had 8 saves; Drew DeNoncour had 4 for Chariho (3-3-2).

GIRLS SOCCER

St. Raphael 1, Exeter-West Greenwich 0: Karina Contrera's goal in the 22nd minute on a PK lifted the Saints past the Scarlet Knights in their Division III contest. McKenna Mare made 16 saves for St. Ray's, while counterpart Eve Podraza stopped 3 for EWG.

Portsmouth 1, North Smithfield 0: Evelyn Shuster scored the game's only goal with just over four minutes left in the contest to help the Patriots escape with a victory in Division II. Abigail Costa assisted on the game winner. Emily Maiato was solid in goal with 10 saves to earn the shutout. Samantha Austin did her best in net for the Northmen as she collected 18 saves.   

FIELD HOCKEY

Burrillville 5, Cumberland 0: Rihanna Morin found the back of the net three times and teammate Morgan Rainville scored a goal and assisted on 4 others in the Broncos win. Marley Ducharme had the other tally for Burrillville. Rayna Polacek made 9 saves for Burrillville, while Hannah Free had 6 for Cumberland.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Chariho 3, Pilgrim 0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-23): Lexi Cole (3 aces, 2 blocks, 10 digs, 19 assists) and Finleigh Callahan (8 kills, 3 aces) led the way for the Chargers victory over the Patriots. leading the way for the Patriots were Janelle Campos (6 kills and 4 blocks) Kaleigh Catucci (6 kills, 3 digs) and Kayli Sherlock (4 kills, 3 digs).

East Greenwich 3, West Warwick 2 (17-25, 25-13, 20-25, 25-20, 15-9) The solid efforts of Melissa Kocak (12 kills, 6 blocks, 19 digs), Ella Johnson (5 kills, 5 blocks, 5 aces) and Grace Clark (24 assists, 4 kills, 3 blocks) were to much for the Wizards. Liz Gresian (7 Kills, 7 Digs, 7 Blocks) and Kayla Goldstein (4 kills, 12 digs) helped keep WW in the contest.

Johnston 3, Burrilville 0 (25-9, 25-13, 25-14). JV - J, 2-0.

North Kingstown 3, Cranston East 1 (25-15, 19-25, 25-15, 25-15): Tessa LaFreniere posted 8 kills and a block and Sydney Henson recorded 16 digs and 2 aces as the Skippers improved to 8-1 with a victory in Division I. JV - NK, 2-0.

Westerly 3, Ponaganset 0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-19): The play of Rachel Federico (6 kills, 3 aces, 4 digs) helped the Bulldogs land on the winning side of their match with the Chieftains. Kaitlyn Campbell had 5 kills and 2 blocks and teammate Isabel Lorenzo added 5 kills, a block and three assists for Ponaganset.
